Cathy Dunne is a film director and documentary maker based in Ireland. Her work explores the hidden side of the human experience and she aims to make films that interrogate our individual and collective way of thinking. Cathy’s films have expanded online, TV and has been selected for several Oscar, IFTA and BAFTA qualifying film festivals. In 2022, Cathy's short documentary "Where do all the old gays go?" premiered at Galway Film Fleadh and picked up a Special Mention. The short documentary went on to be nominated for Best Short Film at this year's Chicago Irish Film Festival, was awarded Runner-Up Best Documentary Short at Catalyst International Film Festival 2023 and winner of the LUMI Award at Docs Ireland 2023.
