Delta Locals is a global content series created with Kin that profiles inspiring individuals who embody the spirit, creativity, and culture of their home cities. Rather than traditional brand-led storytelling, Delta Locals places real people at the centre, artists, makers, entrepreneurs, and community voices, whose everyday lives offer an authentic entry point into a destination. Each film is rooted in place, allowing the city to shape the narrative as much as the subject themselves.

The Dublin chapter focuses on January Winters, whose story unfolds through a carefully observed portrait of life, movement, and ritual within the city. The Irish production was led by Lore Films, working closely with agency Kin to deliver a film that aligned with Delta’s global vision while retaining a distinctly local sensibility.

Direction by Cathy Dunne prioritised intimacy and restraint, favouring a natural, observational style over overt performance. January is presented as herself rather than a “character,” with moments captured as they naturally unfold. This approach allowed the film to feel lived-in and personal, reinforcing the authenticity at the heart of the Delta Locals concept. Cathy’s direction focused on quiet details like gesture, environment and atmosphere, giving space for Dublin to subtly inform the narrative without overwhelming it.

Producer Kilian Waters oversaw the Irish production, coordinating a tight, location-driven shoot across Phoenix Park, Fidelity Bar & Studio, Vico Baths, and Barrel Sauna Dundrum. Each location was selected to reflect a different facet of January’s relationship with the city, balancing iconic Dublin landmarks with more intimate, community-rooted spaces. The production was designed to be agile and efficient while maintaining high cinematic standards.

Cinematography by Dan Keane blended cinematic composition with a documentary realism, capturing both the scale of the city and the quiet, personal moments within it. Still photography by Leah O’Toole complemented the moving image, extending the visual language of the project across platforms. Location sound, captured by Robin Sherry Wood and Steven Power, played a key role in grounding the film in real environments.

Post-production by ARIS brought the piece together with a refined, understated finish, ensuring the final film felt cohesive within the global Delta Locals series while remaining true to its Irish context. The result is a film that reflects Delta’s commitment to meaningful, human-centred storytelling, connecting audiences to Dublin through the lived experience of one of its locals.
